Greetings to everyone, a busy year is almost behind us and we are looking forward to a relaxing break over the festive season.
Izinga Estate is a well managed high end residential estate designed for discerning purchasers looking for a coastal lifestyle offered by the province of KwaZulu Natal. The estate offers approximately 3400 homes across 176 hectares, Izinga Estate currently comprises four phases Izinga Phase 1, Izinga Phase 2, Izinga Phase 2B and Izinga Park which are all members of the umbrella management association (Izinga Estate Management Association), Izinga Estate offers a rare and unique opportunity to live in a vibrant, diverse community, in an attractive, sustainable and open residential suburb. Each home shares a high level of sophistication and charm that epitomises the lifestyle of all living in Izinga Estate, The walking trails meandering the rehabilitated green open spaces provides the ideal place for jogging, power walking and viewing of birds. The natural amphitheatre offers a place where residents gather for social events, fun days and picnics.
We have great pleasure announcing that the developer (Tongaat Hulett Developments) has offered a piece of land to develop the much needed community centre. The proposed site for a community centre is located along Izinga Drive in Izinga Phase 2 and will be funded by Izinga Estate Management Association (IzEMA). It envisaged that the proposed community centre will have offices for IzEMA, meeting rooms, recreational facilities and other support facilities that will be used by Izinga Estate residents The working group, which is made up of residents from each phase is working hand in hand with an architect in producing a draft concept for the club house. This collaborative effort ensures that the residents interest is taken into consideration at early stages of the design development. IzEMA will share the concept with the residents when it is finalised.
Allow me to announce that IzEMA has taken a strategic approach to have resident directors serving on the board. I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Solomon Pillay and Desi Govender as directors of IzEMA Allow me also to announce Sharon Bissessor and Rasik Soni as co-opted directors of IzEMA. This major shift on IzEMA board will allow more participation of residents in decision making on a board level, Soo Meyer and Mondli Msani from the developers side will remain directors of IzEMA. I wish to congratulate all residents appointed to IzEMA board and looking forward to working with them to make Izinga Estate an even better place to live in.
Last but not least, I would like to thank all residents who are serving on the sub committees for IzEMA and sub associations, for their ongoing support and assistance. I wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and happy Festive Season.
